Dean Guo Liping and Her Colleagues Visited the United Kingdom
From November 5 to 11, 2023, Guo Liping, Dean of School of Health Humanities; Qiao Yuling, Chair of the Department of Language and Culture in Medicine; Li Fang, Vice Chair of the Department of Language and Culture in Medicine; Huang Rong, Assistant Chair of the Department of Language and Culture in Medicine visited the United Kingdom. In the United Kingdom, the delegation from the School of Health Humanities engaged in fruitful discussions with key figures from esteemed academic institutions such as Durham University, King’s College London (KCL), University of Reading, and University College London (UCL). The agenda of the meetings encompassed a wide array of topics including undergraduate education, graduate programs, academic research collaboration, international exchange initiatives, publication strategies, and the advancement of health humanities. The deliberations also touched upon potential avenues for future cooperation between the parties involved.

The UK visit solidified a mutual commitment to fostering research and academic advancements in health humanities. Furthermore, a preliminary agreement was reached on the establishment of the 4+1 joint undergraduate program in medical English, signifying a solid step towards enhancing academic cooperation in health humanities, student training, and faculty exchanges with UK partners.
