The rapid advancement of global technology and the ever-evolving scientific landscape have ushered in a period of profound transformation. The prevalence of pandemics and intermittent conflicts around the world has shrouded the future in uncertainty. Furthermore, the emergence of new technologies such as artificial intelligence raises questions about the trajectory of humanity. In the midst of this tumultuous environment, how can scientific cooperation and exchange be effectively conducted? Professor Anna Ahlers from the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science will provide insights into these topics from the perspective of a European scholar.
