Abstract:

Mr. Li Tao (1901-1959), an eminent contemporary medical historian in China, has made great contribution to the development of medical history when working in Beijing Medical College, Union Medical College, China Academy of Chinese Medicine, and Chinese Medical Association. During his time in Peking Union Medical College, Li Tao collected Chinese books extensively, standardized bibliographic compilation, and completed many pioneering works. He also recommended many medical history books for the library which expand the special collection of medical history in the library. In 2021, on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Mr. Li Tao's birth, this lecture will be held to commemorate.

 

Speaker Introduction:

Wang Zongxin, Graduated from the Department of Library Science of Peking University, is a librarian at Peking Union Medical College. His main research fields are library science, ancient Chinese medicine books, medical history and medical historical materials. He is served as the planner and executive editor of the National Publishing Fund, and the chief editorin of the National Ancient Books Collection and Publishing Project. Presided over the planning and editing dozens of ancient Chinese medicine books, with a wide range of influences. The list of his main work : 《针灸古典聚珍》、《力钧研究文献全编》、《中国近代护理文献汇编·中国护士季报》、《中国近代医疗机构概览·中国医药指南》,《清代御医力钧文集》,《中国近代化知行者力钧》。
