The 90th Peking University Medical Humanities Forum: Report by Dr. Wang Haiying about the China Aiding Guinea Medical Teams

   On October 15th 2021, Dr. Wang Haiying, an associate chief physician from the Emergency Department of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital gave a talk in Room 709, Yifu Building of Peking University Health Science Center. The talk was hosted by Professor Guo Liping. Professor Zhao Bin, the Chief of the Emergency Department of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, and more than thirty faculty members and students joined the discussion. The talk lasted over two hours and was divided mainly into three parts, which dealt respectively with the natural environment of Africa, the history and status quo of The Republic of Guinea, and the Chinese Guinea Medical Teams’ experiences in Guinea.

 

   After the talk, the audience asked questions on health care system, medical education and cultural traits of Guinea. Dr. Wang Haiying answered these questions in great detail.

 

   The talk provides the audience with valuable first-hand information about the experiences of the Chinese Medical Teams in Africa and also inspirations on how to build a community of common health for mankind.
