Lecture title: Review and Prospect of Nursing Education in China

Abstract:

In the 1880s, the modern nursing profession was introduced into China, and nursing education in China developed accordingly. In the initial stage, female nurses from foreign churches dominated China's nurse education, nursing profession and nurse professional groups. With the growth of Chinese nursing, higher education of nursing began to appear in China, and the nursing profession and nursing education in China gradually took the leading position. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, higher nursing education was suspended for more than 30 years, and various hospitals opened secondary nursing schools one after another. After the reform and opening up, nursing higher education resumed, and China's nursing career entered a stage of vigorous development. By reviewing the changes of nursing education in China, summarizing the experience of nursing education in China, we can provide reference and in-depth thinking for the development of nursing in the future.
